Archaeology Notes

NJ96SW 59 92825 63074.

This mid-19th-century farmstead of one and one-and-a-half storeys has a U-shaped plan and contains a barn, a henhouse and chicken house in the NE range, a bothy and a byre in the SE range and a stable and a former gig house, now a garage, with further living accommodation for farm servants above in the SW range. Some original fittings remain in the stable and byre. The farmstead is built of harled rubble and is roofed with corrugated materials. When visited in 2000 it was in reasonable condition.
