Drymen Station [NAT]
OS 1:10,000 map, 1988.
(Location cited as NS 478 862). Drymen Station, opened 1856 by the Forth and Clyde Junction Rly. Formerly a two-platform through station, with the main building on the down (Stirling) platform. This was a 1- and 2-storey block similar to that at Balfron (NS58NW 23), but the 1-storey part has been demolsihed. The corrugated-iron goods shed still stands.

This intermediate station on the Balloch-Stirling secondary line of the former North British Rly was opened by the Forth and Clyde Junction Rly on 26 May 1856. It was closed to regular passenger traffic by the London and North-Eastern Rly on 1 October 1934.
The station is situated some 2km S of the village (NS48NE 26) from which it takes its name, and across the boundary into an adjacent parish.
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 20 February 2006.
