This complex of weirs spans the braided channel of the River Tweed to the N of Sprouston village (NT73NE 8). The river here forms the boundary between the parishes of Ednam (to the NW) and Sprouston (to the SE).

The location assigned to this record defines the centre of the complex, which apparently diverted water into the lade supplying Banff Mill (NT73NE 62.00).
