Publication Account (2007)

Downstream of Bell's Footbridge, there is a 426 ft long footbridge designed by the Babtie Group and completed in 2002 to serve the Science Centre with its innovative 100m high tower. The navigational opening is provided by twin leaf bascules each 17.4m long, operated hydraulically, which can be opened by remote control from Bell’s Bridge.
