Archaeology Notes

NH66NW 63 61158 66348

For corresponding railway bridge to the SE of Evanton, see NH66NW 59.

For corresponding road bridges over the Allt Graad, see NH66NW 62 and NH66NW 64.

This bridge carries the 'Far North' railway line (formerly part of the Highland Rly) over the Allt Graad to the NE of Evanton village (NH66NW 38).

The location assigned to this record defines the centre of the span. The available map evidence suggests that the bridge extends from NH c. 61170 66364 to NH c. 61147 66331. It is approached over embankments on both sides.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 28 December 2005.
