Eilean Shona House, late 18th/early 19th century, remodelled mid-late 19th century Typical gabled Highland shooting lodge set within a plantation of ornamental trees, the earlier house still visible at its rear. Robert Lorimer's involvement relates only to the redecoration of the principal rooms in a simple Arts & Crafts manner, 1897, for Spencer C. Thomson, proprietor from 1878. Later 19th-century ancillary buildings include: stone and timber-clad boathouse with winding gear and canopy eaves; hump-backed ice house; and overlooking the north channel at Baramore, reached by a lonely track, the schoolhouse, similar to that in Glen Moidart.
