Corriechoillie, from early 19th century Substantial 'improved' farmhouse occupying an earlier site on the old droving route south of the Spean, with later porch and flanking bay windows to front. To rear, glass-roofed artist's studio addition, 1930s, and ancillary buildings ranged round a cobbled courtyard.
[By the 1840s Corriechoillie was one of 11 farms leased by John Cameron, better known as Corry or Corriechoillie. He rose from poverty to became the largest livestock owner and leaser of farms in the land, his fitness and prowess at shearing legendary. Having virtually monopolised the droving route in the north west for many years, he later lost his fortune and died at Corriechoillie in 1856, aged 76.]
