A small quarry or scoop in the upper western slope of An Sithean hilltop was recorded here during an archaeological desk based assessment and woodland historical survey commissioned by the Scottish Wildlife Trust. It was undertaken by Kilmartin Archaeological Research and volunteers from the Lorne Archeological Society in January 2004.
