Field Visit (9 November 1988)

NO06SE 92 0532 6344

This cup-marked boulder is situated amidst a small heap of field-cleared stones on a low rise within an arable field, some 280m WNW of Tulloch Cottage. The boulder measures 2.75m by 0.9m and 0.6m in thickness and there are at least 40 cupmarks on its upper surface. Most are circular, measuring between 30mm and 70mm in diameter, and up to 20mm in depth, but at least two are oval, and there is also a cruciform setting of one oval cup flanked by two circular cups.

Visited by RCAHMS (JRS) 9 November 1988.
