Ebost, Alasdair Alldridge of Wittets Architects, 1989. A refreshing variant on the ubiquitous modern kithouse. The pre-fabricated timber frame was built with modern technology, but respects the conventions of rural housing in the Highlands. Symmetrically planned, the main central space - single-storey and attic, flanked by lower bedroom wings - has three vertical windows on its seaward side, visually a far happier solution than the more usual 'picture window'.
