Station Road and Almondell Road, lined with more substantial Victorian bungalows and houses. St Nicholas Free Church, 1890, by J G Fairley, has a Gothic frontage with wide shoulders and good plate-tracery. Old Post Office, c.1880, on the corner of West Burnside, is a crowstepped corner. Knysna Bank, 1885, has an intriguingly carved florid porch.
