An archaeological evaluation was undertaken in August 2004 on the site of a proposed housing development to the NE of the Auchrannie Hotel in Glen Cloy. The surrounding area has a fairly high density of known sites from a wide range of periods. Eleven trenches were excavated by machine, amounting to 10% (1398m2) of the development area. No features, deposits or artefacts of archaeological significance were discovered.
