Archaeology Notes

NG29SW 2 2450 9489

A head-dyke and system of fields, depicted on the 1st edition of the OS 6-inch map (Inverness-shire, Island of Harris 1882, sheet xiv), have been recorded on oblique aerial photography (RCAHMSAP 2004) lying on the SE coast of Scalpay. Lazy beds can be seen within the field system.
