Archaeology Notes

NH66SE 30 6819 6469

A building was recorded at this site as part of an archaeological desktop survey for the Resolis Water Mains Renewal Project. It is not marked on the OS 1st edition map of 1880, but is present on the 2nd edition of 1907 as a roofed structure. A partly unroofed building is shown on the 1992 OS 1:10,000 map. The site is seen as a rectangular ruin with an addition to the SW on an RAF aerial photograph of 1946. It is partly visiible on an aerial photograph of 1969.
