A stone, measuring some 2ft by 3ft, situated on the moor at Balhomish (farmstead at NO 015401) has some 15 round holes in it. 'The holes are not like the usual form of cup marks ... but holes from 2 to 6 inches deep, and almost 2 inches in diameter.' They do not appear to have been caused by weathering.
