(NO 0106 4300) St Colme's Well (NR)

OS 6" map, Perthshire, 2nd ed. (1900)

Water enters this well, which clearly supplies Dunkeld House, by means of a plastic pipe. There is no knowledge of any tradition associated with the well nor is the origin of the name known. The stone arch bears the name "St Colme's Well" and probably dates from the late 18th - early 19th century as do other ornamental structures in the grounds. There is no evidence of antiquity concerning this site.

Visited by OS (JP) 24 February 1971.
