This cairn, which is situated 800m SE of South Yarrows farmsteading (ND34SW 474), stands on a low rise amongst old peat-cuttings in an area of boggy moorland. Oval on plan, it measures 7m from N to S by 5.5m transversely and 0.4m in height. The loose stones forming the body of the mound are partly overgrown with heather, moss and lichen.
