An area of quarrying, apparently exploiting erratic boulders hidden just below the turf, is situated in a field of improved pasture 220m SSW of Whiteleen. The area measures about 50m from E to W by 40m transversely and it is clear from the amount of freshly disturbed ground that rocks are still extracted when circumstances demand.
