(NO 0023 4687) Rotmell Castle (NR) (Rath a' Bhile Castle) (NR) (Site of) OS 6" map, Perthshire, 2nd ed. (1898)

Fort, Rait a' Bhile, now called St Colms (D Campbell 1888). When it was removed c. 1800, a number of coins were found under the foundations. These were believed, c. 1842, to be in the possession of the Dalguise family (New Statistical Account [NSA] 1842).

There is no ground evidence to confirm this site, as the area is now covered by a tip. The situation, however, is an unlikely one for a fort.
