ND34SW 204 33403 44402

What is probably a grass-grown quarry is situated in a field of pasture 200m W of Gansclet farmsteading and immediately S of a building stance (ND34SW 206). Roughly oval on plan, it measures 6.2m from NE to SW by 3.8m transversely and 0.5m in depth. The quarry is not depicted on either the 1st or 2nd edition of the OS 6-inch map (Caithness 1877, sheet xxix; 1907, sheet xxix).
