This grass-grown quarry is situated in an area of rough pasture about 150m NNE of Melbourne Cottage farmsteading (ND34SW 183). It measures 9.4m from NNE to SSW by 4.3m transversely and it has been dug to a depth of 1m into the E face of a rocky knoll.
