Archaeology Notes

ND34SE 11 35186 43609

This bridge is situated 310m NE of Sarclet village (ND34SW 123); it crosses a drain immediately NE of a field of improved pasture, linking the field with an unenclosed area of rough pasture beyond. The deck of large sandstone slabs is some 3.3m in width and is supported on two dry-stone abutments set 0.4m apart. Short flagstones set on edge form low parapets on either side.
