Archaeology Notes

ND49SW 28.02 centred 4169 9161

Over twenty concrete hut bases were identified in a grass field about 150m SE of the gun-emplacements. In addition, the base and lower part of the water tank still stands to the S of the track leading to the gun site.

The camp is visible on a RAF vertical air photograph (LEU/UK 12, 7041, flown 9 May 1949), with several huts of differing types still standing.
