(NO 0559 3445) Stone Circle (NR) (Remains of)
OS 6" map (1901)
There are standing stones on the farm of Middle Blelock and elsewhere in the parish.
New Statistical Account (NSA) 1845 (T Nelson)
The circle at Blelock (since renamed Pitsundry) consisted of a central upright monolith, at one time surrounded by a circle of erect stones, probably twelve in number, 40ft in diameter. The farmer had removed several of the circle of stones: some were buried near their former positions.
F R Coles 1908
A single stone, 1.6m high and having several cup marks on its SE face, stands at NO 0561 3444. There are no indications of a stone circle and the farmer has not encountered any large stones while ploughing.
