Archaeology Notes

ND39SW 41.10 centred 3513 9253

At least ten hut bases could be seen in rough grazing on the N side of the road and SW of the Mill Burn. The hut bases comprise the surviving remains of the military accommodation camp for the coast batteries at Innan Neb.

The camp is visible on RAF vertical air photographs (CPE/Scot/UK 18884147-4148, flown 10 October 1946) and shows that there were a total of at least twelve huts both large and small, along the N side of the road.
