Three concrete searchlight platforms situated 300m E of the gun-emplacements, immediately above the mean High Water mark and overlooking Eynhallow Sound.
A fourth searchlight platform was noted in the gun record book (PRO WO 192/267) between Nos. 2 and 3 searchlight positions (HY 42273 21645 and HY 42248 21661), but this had been removed by the time of the vertical air photogrpahs of 1948 (LEU/UK 2, 7061-7062, flown 16 April 1948) and only a concrete base is visible.
Nothing can be seen on oblique aerial photographs (RCAHMSAP 1997) of the cable trenches from the Battery Observation tower (HY42SW 20.01) or the two engine rooms (HY42SW 20.04).
