Archaeology Notes

NH 6433 4034 (centre) Trial trenching was undertaken in September 2003 as part of a house development. A watching brief was maintained on the clearance of the site, which lies adjacent to Torbreck stone circle NH64SW 1). Work revealed a number of small pits, one of which contained possible Late Neolithic pottery and a flint scraper.

Archaeological Evaluation (July 2011)

NH 6428 4043 An evaluation was conducted in July 2011 for a small commercial workshop to the NW of Torbreck Stone Circle (NH64SW 1) this work was further to an evaluation conducted by the author in 2003 (DES 2003, 88). Work to 35% of the development area revealed no archaeological features or deposits.
