A concrete Pickett-Hamilton fort is sitauted at the SE corner of the airfield. The well in which the fort sits is full of water, but when The well in which the fort sits is full of water, but when drained it was found that the pumping mechanism (lifting jack) was still in situ. The mechanism was raised and removed for preservation.
