Stornoway, Dec. 30, LADY EVA - STRATHBEG. The steam yacht LADY EVA, sunk at Applecross, and steamer STRATHBEG, of Fraserburgh, sunk at Isle Ornsay, have been both raised and sent to the Clyde for repairs.

Source: Shipping Intelligence, LL, No. 20,495, London, Saturday January 3 [1879].

NMRS, MS/829/70 (no. 4924).

The map sheet assigned to this record is arbitrary. The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), presumably on account of her successful recovery.
