A large tumulus surmounted by a cairn of stones about thirteen feet high.
Name Book 1866
A fine cairn, 27.5m in diameter, and 4m high composed entirely of stone and not turfed over. Minor mutilations; otherwise good condition.

Visited by OS (JTT) 26 October 1965.
It was proposed in 1998 to locate 'borrow' pits here for the extraction of clay to be used in the Perth flood prevention scheme. An archaeological assessment would be necessary before this work could go ahead.
