Version A of the Chronicle of the Kings of Scotland states : " (A battle was fought) between Dub (son of Malcolm) and Culen, upon the ridge of Crup; and in it Dub had victory". Dated 962-966.
Anderson (1922) suggests the identification of 'Crup' with 'Duncrub'.
