The cropmark of three sides of an oval enclosure, probably a settlement, have been revealed by aerial photography 300m WSW of Mains of Duncrub farmsteading. The enclosure measures at least 55m by 31m, with long axis orientated E-W, and appears to be defined by an interrupted ditch of at least 2m width, with four gaps on the W and N sides alone. The cropmark of a ring-ditch has been recorded 190m to the E (NO01NW 34).

Desk Based Assessment (1 October 2010)
Alder Archaeology Ltd carried out a desk based assessment and a walkover survey at Mains of Duncrab in advance of development near two scheduled ancient monuments.
