The township of Auchmenzie, which is depicted on a late 18th-century estate map held by the National Archives of Scotland, was disposed in two clusters a short distance apart. Their locations correspond with the modern farms of West and East Auchmenzie (NJ52NW 178 and NJ52NW 179 ) respectively. The townships comprised a total of twenty-three buildings and six yards.
