NMRS, MS/829/72 (no. 9378).
(No classification or cargo specified: date cited as 4 May 1857). Oulton: headboard and wreckage found on Bressay.
(Location of loss cited as N60 10.0 W1 0.0).
I G Whittaker 1998.
The map sheet and quasi-administrative area assigned to this record are arbitrary, being derived from the location that is cited by Whittaker for the discovery of wreckage. Cullingsburgh is not noted as such on the 1998 edition of the OS 1:50,000 map, but the name has been applied to buildings and monuments recorded around HU 521 422.
The vessel presumably foundered offshore, possibly beyond Scottish waters. The date cited is presumably that of the recorded discovery of wreckage.
