Archaeology Notes

NN92NW 8 9370 2932.

(Area: NN 935 292) Ruins of fort.

J Stobie 1783

Although not located the most likely site for this fort is the hillock 'Cnoc Car' at NN 9370 2932, the main axis of which is N/S. It is crossed by a winding metalled path (now disused) but, in addition, there is some evidence on the east side of stonework which suggests walling. (See also NN92NW 9 - Fort).
