Archaeology Notes

NX97NE 153.07 c. 9902 7863

A type 24 pillbox has been identified from postwar RAF vertical air photographs (58(A) 382, 5385-5386, flown 19 May 1948) immediately to the W of a short cutting on the disused railway to Locharbriggs.

The pillbox has almost certainly been removed by the construction of postwar houses in Arrol Drive.

Information from RCAHMS (DE), July 2004.
