Field Visit (4 November 1997)

This oval, grass-grown burnt mound is situated on the E bank an unnamed tributary of the Culnakirk Burn. It measures 4.2m from NE to SW by 2.5m transversely and no more than 0.3m in height. Erosion of the NW side of the mound by the burn has exposed cracked stones set in a matrix of black soil.
