Dundee, 14th Nov [1834]. 'The MAINANE, ---, from Bergen, has been laid on the beach at Montrose, and is nearly a total wreck. A schooner of about 60 tons, foundered during a heavy gale at SSW on the night of the 11th inst., near Rattray Brigs [Briggs]. A pump brake drifted on shore with 'Boston' branded on each side of it.' [Record received incomplete].
