NLO: Rattray Head [name: NK 110 578].

30 March 1883, RIGHT OF WAY, 16 yrs old, of Inverness, wooden schooner, 84 tons, 4 crew, Master and Owner A. Jenkins, Lossiemouth, Elgin, departed Sunderland for Lossiemouth, carrying coal, skylight carried away, bulwarks damaged, etc., 1 life lost, wind S10, partial loss, off Rattray Head, Aberdeenshire. [Record received incomplete].

NMRS, MS/829/69 (no. 3395).

The map sheet assigned to this record is arbitrary. The loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), possibly on account of her successful recovery.
