The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary, being that of the reported discovery of wreckage. The loss of this vessel may have occurred in Irish or English waters.
The circumstances of this loss of the loss of this vessel remain unclear. The vessel may have foundered out in the North Channel, and debris washed ashore in the area stipulated.
The form of the name of the vessel that is cited in the primary account is preferred over that cited by Whittaker.
The date cited by Whittaker is evidently that of the reported discovery of wreckage, rather than of the loss of the vessel.
