(NN 832 102) Cropmark (looks like the NW corner of a Roman camp) visible on St Joseph AP (APS 55).
This cropmark lies in a flat pasture field. There is nothing visible but the situation is ideal for a temporary camp and the crop mark certainly looks as though it may be the corner of a Roman camp.

On a level terrace west of the fort and camps at Ardoch and across the River Knaik, a linear cropmark and rounded corner was observed from the air by St Joseph in 1966. Some 70m of the north side has been recorded, together with 15m of the west. Not enough has been visible to identify the cropmark as a Roman camp.
