OS 6" map, (1958).

At Struthill there was a chapel and well of St Patrick. The chapel was ordered to be demolished 1650. The well was considered effectual in curing madness and offerings were cast into it as late as 1723.

H Scott 1923; NSA 1845.

There are no traces of this well or chapel, the published sites of which lie on either side of a small natural gully. Some loose stones at the chapel site may be connected with it.

Visited by OS (WDJ), 16 May 1967.
