N58 26.4 W3 4.1

NLO: Wick Bay [name centred ND 376 506].

2nd August 1876, UNKNOWN, capsized in Wick Bay. Towed into harbour by tug, PET, on 3rd August. Accident probably occurred the previous night.

Source: PP Report and Evidence of Inquiry into Loss of Life from Shipwreck at or near Wick 1877 (94) LXXV.157.

NMRS, MS/829/68 (no. 1866).

The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary.

This loss of this vessel is not cited by I G Whittaker (1998), possibly suggesting her successful recovery.

Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 15 December 2003.
