16 August 1884, SOPHIA, 36 yrs old, registered at Carnarvon, wooden schooner, 63 tons, 3 crew, Jones Master, Owner D. Roberts, Portmadoc, departed Thurso for Greenock carrying pavement. Wind SSE 6. Foundered off Cape Wrath, Sutherlandshire.
