The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary. The vessel may have stranded on Proudfoot Rocks, the extensive and prominent rocks around North Head.

The form of the name of this vessel that is cited by Whittaker differs from that cited in the primary account of the loss. The latter is preferred.
