Archaeology Notes

NN76SW 12 72625 64703

(Location cited as NN 727 648). Trinafour Sawmill, built 1858. A small rectangular rubble building, roofed with corrugated iron, witha 6-spoke low-breast wheel, with iron axle and rings, and wooden spokes, paddles and shrouds, 70ins (1.78m) wide by 12ft 4ins (3.76m) in diameter. The wheel is disused and decaying. Drive to the mill was by an external gear ring and pinion.
