Architecture Notes

The remains of an 18th century water-powered grain mill built on an 'L'-plan from pink sandstone rubble, the north leg being single storeyed with a piended roof, the main south leg being two-storeyed. At its E end are what appears to be the rubble remains of a detached drying kiln, including the firebox. At the time of survey in 2002, the mill was used for storage by a neighbouring farm, and its roofs were covered with corrugated cement asbestos.

Information from RCAHMS (MKO), 2002.
