(NN 7218 4497) Clach an Tuirc (NAT)

OS 6" map (1900).

Clach na Tuirc (the Boar Stone) is a large boulder 6' high which bears one very distinct cup-mark. Said to have several cup-marks on the top.

F R Coles 1910; W A Gillies 1938.

"Clach na Tuirc" (name verified) measures 2.5m by 2.0m and 2.0m high. At the W end of its upper surface it bears three cup-marks, two of which are small and indistinct. This part of the stone is overgrown with ivy.
