(Location of loss cited as N58 0.00 W3 0.00).
I G Whittaker 1998.
The map sheet and quasi-administrative area assigned to this record are essentially arbitrary, being derived from the unverified location of loss that is cited by Whittaker. The loss of this vessel may alternatively have occurred within the areas that are designated Maritime-Moray or Maritime - Highland, or beyond Scottish waters.
The date cited is evidently that of the reported discovery of wreckage.
The cause of the loss of this vessel remains unclear. She most probably foundered.
Information from RCAHMS (RJCM), 1 August 2003.
