Wick, 26th Nov. The sloop SISTERS, Milne, of Dundee, was wrecked near Pulteneytown harbour, 21st inst.; crew saved.

(Classified as sloop, with cargo of coal: date of loss cited as 21 November 1847). Sisters: this vessel stranded to the East of Wick. Capt. Milne.

Registration: Dundee. Bult 1844. 18 tons burthern. Length: 11m. Beam: 4m.

(Location of loss cited as N58 26.00 W3 4.00).

The location assigned to this record is essentially arbitrary. The loss of this vessel evidently occurred within the area of Wick Bay. Wick (or Pulteneytown) Harbour (ND35SE 66.00) is centred at ND 36820 50670.

The classification cited by Whittaker remains unverified, but is accepted.
